The Rocky Mountain Jazz Collective, with guest artist Kristin Korb, are having a blast this fall putting a fresh spin on the Eurythmics. Their concert on Saturday, October 11 at the beautiful Lockwood Performing Arts Center will be a fun one-of-a-kind musical experience that reinvents a pop legacy.

Recently inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, in 2022, the Eurythmics irrevocably changed perceptions of 1980s pop-rock with their release of “Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)” and their music continues to have major influence to this day. This concert will feature big band arrangements to some of their most influential songs.

Since its start in 2019, the Rocky Mountain Jazz Collective has been entertaining local audiences for years with its unique stylings that are a study of contemporary icons. With the mission to create greater awareness and appreciation for jazz music and history in the Rocky Mountain region, they perform themed programs consisting of material with cultural and historical significance to the history and development of Jazz. This evening, they will be channeling that mission to give this concert a dynamic blend of jazz, soul, and 80s pop.

This concert will also feature guest artist Kristin Korb—a musician who can effortlessly blend her talents as a bassist and vocalist, captivating listeners with her crystal-clear voice while expertly maneuvering the bass. There are few bassists who can sing and there are even fewer who can do it well.

Her latest project, Sweet Dreams (out October 25, 2024), is more than just a cover album. Kristin Korb reimagines Eurythmics’ classics through her jazz-infused lens, weaving vibrant new arrangements and interpretations, making her a perfect fit to bring this concert to life. Kristin will also be providing an educational clinic to Skyview High School music students on October 6th.

Rocky Mountain Jazz Collective: The Eurythmics Reimagined is scheduled for Saturday, October 11, at the Lockwood Performing Arts Center. The performance begins at 7:00PM, doors open at 6:00PM. To purchase tickets, call 406-252-3610 or visit www.billingssymphony.org.
