The Missoula Symphony Orchestra invites audiences of all ages to experience the magic of musical theater with its upcoming Broadway from Stage to Screen concert. This vibrant, community-friendly performance will take place at the University of Montana’s Dennison Theatre on Saturday, May 16, at 7:30 PM and Sunday, May 17, at 3:00 PM.
Step into the excitement of Broadway for an unforgettable evening celebrating some of the most beloved musicals ever written. Broadway from Stage to Screen showcases iconic show tunes performed by the Missoula Symphony alongside guest artists Francesca Mehrotra, Matt Shingledecker, Arielle Nachtigal, and Jadi Rae Curtis, joined by a chamber ensemble from the Missoula Symphony Chorale.
Highlights include “Maria” from West Side Story, “You’ll Never Walk Alone” from Carousel, and “One Day More” from Les Misérables, along with selections from Wicked, The Phantom of the Opera, and The Greatest Showman.
From soaring ballads to powerful ensemble numbers, this concert captures the spirit, storytelling, and brilliance of Broadway in a vibrant live performance.
“Our annual Broadway concert is designed to be welcoming, fun, and engaging for the entire community,” said Missoula Symphony’s Music Director, Julia Tai. “This concert is a chance to experience the joy of live symphonic music while enjoying songs many of us already know and love.”
Presented in collaboration with Black Tie Broadway, this lively performance blends theatrical flair with the rich sound of a full orchestra, creating an immersive experience that highlights the best of Broadway.
