Celebrate the joy of music and the arrival of summer at a free Community Concert and Community Singing event featuring a Bozeman Symphony voice ensemble on Saturday, June 21, from 2:30 to 4 p.m. at the Manhattan High School Gym, 200 W. Fulton Ave.

Hosted in honor of Make Music Day, this lively and inclusive event invites people of all ages and musical abilities to come together through song and celebration. Attendees can enjoy live music performed by a professional Bozeman Symphony ensemble and are encouraged to sing along and participate in the festivities.

As part of its partnership with Befrienders, the Bozeman Symphony brings live chamber music performances to rural and senior communities throughout the region. These concerts are designed to inspire, connect, and uplift, recognizing the powerful role music plays in bringing people together and improving quality of life.

Make Music Day originated in France in 1982, when Jack Lang and the French Ministry of Culture envisioned a new kind of holiday—one where music would fill the streets and public spaces on the summer solstice. Known as Fête de la Musique, the celebration has since grown into a worldwide phenomenon, taking place in more than 2,000 cities across dozens of countries.

This year’s Community Concert is presented in partnership with Befrienders, a nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering meaningful connections, support, and advocacy for seniors throughout the Gallatin Valley and Livingston areas.
